Position Available — Public Health Policy & Advocacy Director

The Coalition for a Tobacco-Free Hawaii (CTFH) is seeking a new Policy and Advocacy Director. CTFH is expanding its mission to enable a more collaborative, coordinated and effective response to the high rates of chronic disease and health disparities amoung underserved populations in Hawaii. Through the mission expansion CTFH will continue to exist under a larger umbrella, Healthy Communities Hawaii (HCH). Click here to review the job description. Initiatives

Homes
The Coalition for a Tobacco-Free Hawaii, the Hawaii State Department of Health, and other community partners, are working together to create healthier and safer communities by reducing secondhand smoke exposure in condominiums, apartments, and town-homes in Hawaii.

Business
With the support of the HMSA Foundation, the Coalition has worked with the business community to develop a toolkit to assist businesses in creating a tobacco-free workforce.

Communities
The Coalition for a Tobacco-Free Hawai‘i, through funding from the Comprehensive Cancer Control Program, partnered with the Hawai‘i State Department of Health and the American Cancer Society to create this Social Norms Toolkit in the form of a manual as a tangible means to positively affect socially accepted behavior around the issues of smoking and second-hand smoke.
