Celebrating 81 years of serving the people of Hawaii, the American Lung Association of Hawaii presents the third annual BREATHE CONCERT.
Headliners WILLIE K, MELVEEN LEED and THE HOTCLUB OF HULAVILLE (in cool couture provided by 2 COUTURE) join the cast of 150+ dancers, singers & actors to bring you a spectacle of style, flair, comedy, song and dance! Director MARIAN JAY MORRISON, returns to Hawaii after 15 years with Walt Disney Entertainment, and has designed an “exhilarating showcase of the senses!”
Over 175,000 children and adults in Hawaii have lung disease (that’s more than the combined populations of Maui and Kauai), and Hawaii is ranked second nationally for youth asthma with lung cancer being the #1 cancer killer of women and men in our state.
Clean air is more than an environmental issue; it’s an everyday matter of life and breath.

Smoke-Free Homes Presentation

Recently James A. Bergman, JD, national expert on creating smoke-free homes, conducted a series of workshops for the local Coalitions on the Big Island and Kauai. Tobacco-Free Kauai captured his important talk on how to create a smoke-free condo and reduce the harm of secondhand smoke. Now his entire presentation is being aired on Olelo starting on Wednesday, May 27 at 2:30 pm on channel 52. For complete airing dates, see our calendar.
