As we reflect back on 2011, we take the time to thank you for working hard to advocate for tobacco control. THANK YOU for helping to reduce tobacco use in Hawai‘i. And we thank our lawmakers who are:
- Keeping restaurants, bars, and workplaces smoke-free
- Keeping our keiki safe by keeping the Tobacco Trust Fund safe

November 17th — 10am to 1pm Kapi’olani Community College will be holding a GASO event on campus. Students have been collecting cigarette butts and making signs in support of their smoke-free campus initiative.

Join in the efforts to help spread the word that secondhand smoke in cars, when keiki age 17 and under are present, is harmful for your health! S MOKE-FREE VEHICLES are great for the health of keiki and the entire `ohana and also good for the environment. Hawaii Community Foundation Soliciting RFP’s for Cessation Grants

The Hawaii Tobacco Prevention and Control Trust Fund is now accepting proposals for 2011. HCF is soliciting proposals that address tobacco cessation only. Grant range is up to $75,000 per year with a maximum of $150,000 fora 2-year project.
